First Presbyterian Church of Goshen

Project Overview

LAN provided electrical engineering services to renovate the clock tower of the First Presbyterian Church, in Goshen, New York. The church was constructed in 1871 and is claimed to be the tallest standing structure in Orange County, standing well over 186 feet, the clock tower serves as the Village Clock. The clock tower’s fluorescent lights were removed and replaced with new modern LED strips. Energy consumption was reduced from ~600 watts to less than 64 watts per clock face, resulting in less energy than one incandescent lamp with no maintenance requirements for more than 15 years.
