LAN Associates’ Board of Directors has announced the promotion of Architect Matt Wolfe to the role of Vice President. Wolfe has been with the firm since 2018, when he assumed the critical role of leading the Architecture Department at LAN’s Midland Park, NJ headquarters. He was hired with the directive to recruit top industry talent, grow LAN’s client base, and strategically pursue major projects and new market sectors. Over the past seven years, Wolfe has opened new revenue streams by expanding LAN’s presence in both new and core markets, including banking, faith-based, educational, commercial interiors, and industrial.
Over the last few years, as an Assistant Vice President, Wolfe’s two decades of industry experience were vital to guiding business decisions and strategic initiatives firm-wide. His new role as a Vice President formalizes and expands those efforts. Wolfe will continue to lead LAN’s North New Jersey Architecture Department, while assuming a larger role in shaping the firm’s overall direction.
“I am humbled by LAN’s Board of Directors' decision to appoint me as a Vice President. Throughout the past seven years, I have come to understand LAN’s strengths and how they can help achieve the vision I have for not only the department directly under my purview, but the company as a whole,” said Wolfe when asked about his new role. “I understand that a great deal of trust has been placed in me, and I plan to work hard to ensure I live up to the expectations of the role and serve our team.”
As a Vice President and head of LAN Associates’ Midland Park New Jersey Architecture Department, Matt Wolfe oversees the design of hundreds of millions of dollars in projects each year. He manages one of the firm’s largest teams and serves as a project manager for some of the firm’s biggest and most complex architecture projects that also include LAN’s full-service team of engineers, surveyors, environmental professionals, and construction administrators. His portfolio of projects includes the ground-up design and project management of the new Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, the new “On Eagles’ Wings” Native American Leadership Center in Harrison, Arkansas, and an industrial and office renovation project for Wurth North America’s distribution headquarters, to name a few.
Matthew helps set the pace for the architecture and engineering firm. He has a diverse architectural portfolio and is an established industry player who collaborates closely with key stakeholders to bring projects from conception to completion. As LAN celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2025, the firm has been planning for the future, with several key employees being promoted to leadership positions over the past few years.
