LAN Associates, Engineering Planning, Architecture Surveying, Inc., (“LAN”) is excited to welcome a new BIM Manager to join our team in Midland Park or Voorhees, NJ, or in Goshen, NY! This opportunity affords a dynamic role, working with all disciplines of the A/E industry on an array of projects.

The BIM Manager will play a key role in shaping how BIM influences project workflows and deliverables. This individual will lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of firm wide BIM standards, as well as establish a strategic roadmap for enhanced BIM integration and quality assurance across all projects.  The BIM Manager shall be an expert in Building Information Modeling (“BIM”) with extensive experience using Revit. The BIM Manager will be expected to work collaboratively with architects and engineers throughout LAN’s multidisciplined practice across all  offices. The BIM Manager will be responsible for establishing routine instructional & implementation initiatives with the BIM Coordinators in each of the three branch offices. The BIM Manager will be responsible to meet with our BIM coordinators to understand LAN’s culture, competency and resources and will be responsible to cultivate and identity objectives, goals and best practices to achieve standardization across the firm.

Annually , new versions of BIM software will need to be evaluated for adoption in addition to managing routine software maintenance and updates.  The BIM Manager will be responsible to unify modeling workflow and standard practices across all offices. The BIM Manager will be responsible to enforce compliance with BIM standards and will be responsible for creating and updating standard details, libraries and families for use by LAN’s design professionals. The BIM Manager will be responsible for data management practices to save and share models. The BIM Manager should be organized and methodical with model management. In the long run, this role will likely include assistance developing models on project-specific, billable work. The BIM Manager will likely work in our Midland Park (NJ) office, but it is possible they could work from any primary office, or remotely after a 6-12 months onboarding period. The BIM Manager will be responsible to routinely communicate progress to LAN’s corporate leadership.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of design and construction, with an understanding of building assemblies and systems.
  • Experience producing industry standard construction drawings for architecture and engineering projects.
  • Expert at using Revit, Navisworks, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), Bluebeam, along with exceptional organizational skills for file & database management.
  • Experience using AutoCAD. Understanding of AutoCAD and Revit integration is essential.
  • Experience scripting Revit Dynamo and/or Python to create and automate repetitive tasks that are suitable for various team needs.
  • Troubleshoot Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Navisworks issues to ensure seamless project delivery. Ability to provide real-time troubleshooting in Revit to the design professionals.
  • Ability to focus, collaborate and work effectively in an office environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and via email.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a design team.
  • Must have attention to detail & take pride in the quality of their modeling work.
  • Ability to provide routine education/instruction using virtual videoconferencing platforms.
  • Future implementation and coordination of cloud model hosting bim360 / construction cloud.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a design or production role, or serving as a BIM Manager for an Architecture / Engineering firm.

 

Salary Range:  $90,000 – $125,000
