LAN Associates Engineering, Planning, Architecture, Surveying, Inc., (“LAN”) is a mid-sized, multi-disciplined architectural and engineering firm. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist/Project Manager to join our team. The qualified candidate will serve as part of the environmental team managing environmental investigation and remediation projects, preparing proposals and reports, conducting environmental research and analyses, and supervising field investigations, etc.  In this role, the qualified candidate will have the opportunity to further develop both project management skills, interact with clients, and work on exciting small and larger-scale projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Due Diligence
  • Preliminary Assessment/Phase I ESA
  • Site and Remedial Investigations Soil/Groundwater/Sediment
  • Underground Storage Tank Removal
  • Vapor Intrusion/Air Quality Monitoring
  • Brownfields Redevelopment
  • Remedial Action Workplans preparation
  • Implementation and oversight of remedial actions
  • Remedial Compliance and Construction Oversight
  • Manage environmental investigation and remediation project
  • Assist all of LAN’s interdisciplinary departments
  • Manage and deliver on multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines
  • Effectively organize, write, and edit draft reports, proposals, and other documents
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors

Job Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Environmental Science, Geology or equivalent
  • HAZWOPER training (40 hr. and 8 hr. refresher)
  • 5-8 years Environmental Consulting experience in New Jersey
  • Familiarity with the NJDEP Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (TRSR)
  • Experienced with NJDEP Technical Guidance Documents
  • Knowledge of the Administrative Requirements for Remediation of Contaminates Sites (AARCS) and Site Remediation Reform Acts (SRRA)
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
  • Capability to multi-task effectively, manage multiple projects and clients, and develop and manage project budgets and staff
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Windows based computer system skills
