LAN Associates congratulates Steven Ramiza, PE, LEED AP on his appointment to the Executive Committee of the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey (ACECNJ).As ACECNJ’s newest board member, Steven will join a diverse group of industry experts who support ACECNJ’s mission to enhance the business practices of professional engineering companies in the planning, design and construction industry.

Steven brings twenty years of industry expertise to ACECNJ. Serving as Vice President of LAN Associates, a full-service engineering, planning, architecture and surveying firm with offices in Midland Park, New Jersey, Goshen, NY, and Philadelphia, PA, Steven oversees the Environmental Services,  Civil Engineering, and Land Use Departments while also remaining a key facilitator of the firm’s business development and corporate responsibilities. He has built a strong passion for engineering which has led him to be actively involved with organizations like ACECNJ.

“ACECNJ is the leading organization for the consulting engineering industry,” said Ramiza. “I’m grateful that I will have the opportunity to find new ways that LAN, and other firms, can continue to strengthen our industry.”

For more than 30 years, LAN has been a member of ACECNJ, with multiple staff, including Steven, as active committee members. In 2017, Steven was selected to be a member of the organization’s Legislative & Policy Committee. He has used this platform to voice new ideas and provide a fresh perspective on opportunities within the industry. His voice and his allegiance to ACECNJ have been recognized, and the transition to the Executive Committee seemed like a natural next step for the organization.  Prior to that, Steven served on the ACECNJ Environment Committee.

ACECNJ is the business trade association for New Jersey’s consulting engineering profession.  ACECNJ represents over 125 member firms who are responsible for over 6,000 New Jersey jobs, and whose works are directly responsible for the safety, health and well-being of New Jersey’s nine million residents.

“ACECNJ is pleased to welcome Steven to the Executive Committee,” said Joe Fiordaliso, President of ACECNJ. “Steven’s perspective on the future of this profession is invaluable, and the organization is thrilled for him to join us in this leadership role.  ACECNJ is the preeminent organization representing the business interests of consulting engineering firms because of volunteer leaders like Steven.”

This leadership role will bring new opportunities for both Steven and ACECNJ. “Joining the Executive Committee is an honor and I look forward to working with the executive staff and members of ACECNJ.” said Steven. “It’s an exciting time in our industry. ACECNJ has paved the way for engineers and I’m lucky to be able to be a part of that.” Following the passing of ACECNJ’s prior Director, George Kelley, Langan Engineering, Steven’s term began in January.
