(Middletown, NY) – May 11, 2022, 12th Rock Sports founders Mark & Greg Jaloszynski were joined by the Orange County Chamber of Commerce and members of the LAN Associates architecture team to celebrate the ribbon cutting for a new outdoor throws facility. The event served a dual purpose, with the ribbon cutting also acting as an official start to a much larger project, 12th Rock Sports’ new headquarters and 115,000 sf indoor athletic facility.

“When the 12th Rock Sports headquarters opens, it will bring a comprehensive suite of sports facilities to the surrounding community,” said LAN Associates Architect Taylor Thomas, who is working on the project. “The opening of the throws center is a great way to show a taste of what is to come.”

Thomas has been working alongside Architect and LAN Vice President Matthew Milnamow who is overseeing the design of the upcoming project. 12th Rock retained LAN to provide construction documents, architectural design services, and preliminary electrical and mechanical design for the new headquarters and indoor athletic facility. 12th Rock is also working with various other local businesses in the community such as CR Wolfe Plumbing & Heating and Sullivan Fire Protection who are donating design services. Engineering Properties is responsible for the site/civil design and Liam Design/Build is tasked with bringing 12th Rock’s vision to life as the builder.

Once opened, 12th Rock aims to make their new headquarters the premier sports destination for the Orange County area. The multi-sport facility will include an indoor 200-meter track with surrounding throwing areas, pole vaulting high jump, and long jump. With seating for approximately 1,500 people, the facility will be able to host track and field events for both private and public K-12 schools and higher education institutions. A multi-sport turf field will serve as a space for soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey athletes to practice, train, and play year-round. The space will also host four collegiate basketball courts, which can be transformed into eight volleyball courts.12th Rock Sports will also be equipped with a variety of fitness, locker, and conference rooms, as well as a café area, making it a one-stop destination for athletes and their families.

12th Rock Sports currently draws young athletes from a 3–4-hour radius of their property on Mount Hope Road in Middletown, NY to participate in various programs such as archery, cross country, basketball, and volleyball. Mark and Greg Jaloszynski have already had several athletes qualify for Olympic trials at their facilities. 12th Rock is currently raising funds and taking donations to help make this community driven facility a reality.
