Curaleaf Edgewater Park

Project Overview

LAN was retained by Curaleaf to provide architecture, interior design, MEP engineering, civil engineering, and site surveying services for the renovation of a  gymnasium and martial arts studio into the company’s Edgewater Park office.

Initially, LAN performed a site survey, developed a submission to the local combined board, and testified before the board to receive approval for the facility’s change of use into a medicinal dispensary. Once approved, LAN worked closely with Curaleaf to refine their floor plan design, which included multiple iterations to accommodate continued expansion of Curaleaf’s standards and internal operations.

Once a floor plan was approved, LAN developed the schematic design and construction documents, including Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Suppression systems, prior to submitting the project to the local code official for permits. LAN remained active throughout the construction process to assist with contractor questions and address of conditions revealed during the demolition and alteration process.

The entire project was completed in less than 6 months from the onset of schematic design to construction completion. The aggressive schedule required effective communication which included weekly project meetings throughout the construction phase. By utilizing LAN’s full-service approach, the design team was able to adhere to the accelerated project schedule by efficiently solving and implementing solutions to conditions discovered during the renovation.
