LAN was retained by Don Bosco Preparatory School in Ramsey, New Jersey, to preform work on two athletic fields. In 2012 LAN was contracted to resurface the existing stadium field surface and synthetic track. The stadium is extensively used for school and summer programs so the timing of the design and construction phases were deliberately organized to minimize disruption. Upon reviewing the subbase material after the surface rug was removed, it was determined that significant improvements to the perimeter drainage system were needed. The system was removed and replaced in its entirety and the resurfacing of the field was completed.
LAN also worked with the school and town to enhance the foul ball protection and sports lighting for the campus lower field. This project design was also complicated by pre-existing poor drainage, but LAN lent its expertise to provide a solution.
Sports lighting installation was later added to the lower field as a second phase of construction. The field is now lit for soccer and baseball events and has provisions for emergency lighting of the bleachers.
