Seeking a modern renovation to their aging office space, Wurth International Trading America, Inc. hired LAN to renovate the 4,360 sf space where their administrative staff are housed. The design accommodates open office areas, Conference and Waiting Rooms, a Break Room with kitchen counter and appliances, new bathrooms and several other spaces.
The renovation began with a complete gut out and demolition. The existing private offices, conference room, two bathrooms, power, plumbing and HVAC distribution systems, and interior finishes were removed to design a new open office floor plan. The interior office space was revamped to include bright red, white and black colors with an “L Shaped” ceiling/wall element that is centrally located around the vestibule and waiting area.
On each side of the waiting area are open offices with adjustable height workstations and dual monitors at each station. The Conference Room and private offices feature full height seamless glass panes. The suspended decorative ceiling panels create accents through the space with roof deck and ductwork above painted black. The design strikes the balance between collaboration and privacy. Throughout the spaces there are breakout areas and a “phone booth” that provides a quiet and isolated environment, allowing individuals to focus on work without distractions. The entire space is outfitted with modern light fixtures, furniture, and recessed TV screens. The Break Room offers a small kitchenette with stainless steel appliances and features modern metal casework with high end finishes.
