LAN Associates Assistant Vice President in charge of marketing, Jen Mannino, was honored with the “One to Watch Award” at this year’s Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) Enterprising Women Awards. The annual event celebrates women in recognition of their achievements, determination, and dedication to their chosen profession. The “One to Watch Award” is one of two headline awards. It recognizes a woman who is in the beginning or mid-point of her career and is “lighting the world on fire.” This is the fifth year the event has been held, and this year’s ceremony took place at the Glen Ridge Country Club in Glen Ridge, NJ. Award recipients are also featured in the August Issue of CIANJ’s Commerce Magazine.
“It was an honor to be recognized alongside such a talented group of women at this year's CIANJ Enterprising Women Awards,” said Mannino when asked about the event. “The leadership at LAN has provided me and my team with the freedom and resources to pursue new ideas and implement marketing strategies, and I thank them for their support and trust that has allowed me to continually embrace a growth mindset. I would also like to thank CIANJ for its recognition and for shining a light on the vital work women do in businesses across the state of New Jersey.”
For over a decade, Mannino has shaped LAN Associates’ brand, reputation, culture, and business processes. Starting as the firm’s first Marketing Coordinator in 2014, she quickly grew LAN’s marketing department and advanced to the role of Assistant Vice President.
Under Jen’s direction, LAN’s marketing team has transformed efforts aimed at winning new business. Over the last decade, the department has grown fivefold and has been instrumental in helping LAN grow its billings by 230%. Jen has planned and realized strategies to help LAN scale its operations to match the firm’s rapid growth, and she has played a significant role in LAN’s acquisition of major multi-million-dollar contracts. Initiatives she has led include implementing a CRM system to provide essential analytics and designing a new website to rebrand the company’s image. She is also heavily involved in business development and leads strategic planning efforts for LAN’s nine departments of service and five office locations.
A prominent advocate for continually advancing LAN’s corporate culture, Jen also established and leads the firm’s Mentor Program, which launched in 2020, initiated and oversees several employee resource groups (including the LAN Women’s Network), and serves as the organizer and host for LAN’s company town halls.
Outside of her work at LAN, Jen is a member of the Society of Marketing Professional Services – SMPS-NY/NJ Affiliate committee where she leads the development of new programs, sits on the Advisory Board for Passaic County Habitat for Humanity, and is on the Board of Directors for the YWCA of Northern New Jersey, a women led nonprofit that aims to empower women in New Jersey and eliminate racism.
Jen is a key decision-maker at LAN Associates, working with LAN’s principals and department heads to develop and steer the company. Her work and leadership have been instrumental in LAN’s success. LAN congratulates her on this well-earned accolade.
