NJBIZ, New Jersey’s leading business journal, recently named Kim Vierheilig of LAN Associates a winner of the 2017 NJBIZ Best 50 Women in Business awards program.
The Best 50 Women in Business awards program honors 50 of New Jersey’s most accomplished women who are as dynamic and influential in their field and companies as well as on New Jersey’s business landscape.
“I am humbled that NJBIZ has honored me with this award,” said Vierheilig. “Encouraging and mentoring our next generation of female architects and engineers ensures we have diverse perspectives on issues facing both our profession and society.”
Vierheilig is the first female partner in LAN Associates’ more than 50-year history. An active leader in both her industry and community, Vierheilig is a mentor and role model to young ladies in the architectural and engineering fields, actively hosting seminars for professional women, participating in mentoring events and speaking at various conferences on how to conduct business in a male-dominated industry.
The winners were chosen by an independent judging panel formed by NJBIZ. NJBIZ and the program sponsors will recognize this year’s winners during an awards reception and ceremony on Monday, March 20, 2017 at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, New Jersey. The winners will also be featured in the Best 50 Women in Business event publication in the March 27, 2017 NJBIZ issue.
