LAN has actively been working with Goshen Central School District as their Architect-of-Record for more than two years to provide annual capital improvement projects and pre-referendum design services to implement a $30.5M capital project for district wide improvements. The $30.5M bond referendum was recently approved on February 28, 2017.

LAN worked collaboratively with the Superintendent, Board of Education, District personnel, NYSED and Fiscal Advisors to develop a scope of work that would address the district’s facility needs without increasing the tax levy.  LAN assisted the School District with engaging the public to obtain feedback and build consensus within the community.

The capital project consists of $4.5M of District-Wide IT/Technology Upgrades requiring the installation of new Cat 6a cable, wireless access points, Power-Over-Ethernet (POE) switches and a new Voice-Over Internet-Protocol (VOIP) telephone system.

Starting in the Summer of 2018, the following capital projects will start at the Goshen High School:  construction of a new parking lot, construction of 15,000+ s.f. for two new building additions, renovations to (20) Classrooms, including the Cafeteria, Auditorium, Music Suite and the conversion of the Unified Arts Department into a STEAM Lab.  The capital project also includes the construction of a new athletic facility at the High School providing a  multi-use artificial turf athletic field, (8) lane track, field lighting, 1,500 seat grandstand and Field House building with bathrooms, locker rooms and a concession stand.
