Bergen County Housing Authority

Project Overview

LAN Associates has a long and successful history of working with the Bergen County Housing Authority to improve facilities and provide better accommodations for residents.  Projects include, but are not limited to, HVAC replacements, installing hard wired smoke detectors and strobes, hot water tank and boiler replacement, air permitting, consulting for a Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA), and consulting on 504 Needs Assessment Compliance.

LAN has also worked with the Bergen County Housing Authority on the replacement of multiple generator projects including the replacement of an existing natural gas generator with a new 150kW, exterior, pad mounted, diesel generator with four  transfer switches and automatic load shedding functions. When not activated, the available capacity of the 25HP fire pump accommodates additional standby loads for essential functions during a power outage.

In another project, LAN replaced an existing 45kW, open-air interior natural gas generator with a new 60kW. The site constraints of the building precluded the direct replacement of the generator, so the new generator had to be disassembled, rigged into the building, and then reassembled.
