LAN Associates provided architectural and engineering services for the new “Adventure Center” at Shiloh Bible Camp in West Milford, New Jersey. The space contains a gymnasium, large group meeting room, game room and volleyball court. The gymnasium houses a regulation basketball court, 40 ft. indoor climbing wall, and a high ropes course suspended from the gymnasium ceiling. The meeting room was designed to seat up to 120 people and is equipped with the latest technology, a four-sided fireplace, and a kitchenette.
The property is in the Highlands Preservation Area and contains both high resource value wetlands and a Category 1 trout production stream, so numerous permits were required for the project. LAN successfully facilitated all required permitting, applications, and exemptions for the project to move forward.
This project was constructed almost entirely with volunteer labor with a civil engineer from LAN acting as the project manager, both managing the construction and coordinating the volunteers.
