NJBIZ Has released its 2023 list of Top Architecture Firms in New Jersey, and LAN Associates secured a place among the top ten firms in the Garden State. 2022 was a year marked by growth for the 58-year-old architectural and engineering firm, which is headquartered in Midland Park, NJ, and this success led to LAN securing the number eight spot on NJBIZ’s list.
“The hard work of LAN’s team over the past few years has created a synergy with our clients resulting in significant and sustained growth,” said LAN President Ken Karle. “Clear communication and ensuring projects are a true collaboration with our clients has always resulted in cultivating long-term and fruitful relationships. Keeping our client partners at the center of our work while pursuing a deliberate effort to enter new market sectors has put LAN in a position to hire over 39 new talented architects, engineers, and support staff in the past 24 months.”
LAN is a midsize architecture firm with five locations spread across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania; however, it prides itself on being a community architecture and engineering firm. LAN helps shepherd clients through the entire process, from planning to ribbon cutting. This is particularly true in the educational market, where LAN and its clients have celebrated the passing of several K-12 school bond referendums over the past few years. This has allowed LAN to put its team to work, building much-needed improvements in local schools, including outdoor learning environments, additions, renovations, STEAM Labs, and HVAC systems.
While educational work has always led to growth at LAN, the firm has been strategically pursuing ways to bring its expertise and design offerings to new market sectors in recent years. Successful pursuits in hospitality, higher education, and even theme park design came at the same time LAN’s Voorhees, NJ office, which opened in 2020, began gaining traction in the southern New Jersey market. That, combined with LAN expanding its offices in Goshen, NY, has all culminated in 2022 being the best year in LAN’s history.
