Essex County Community College Bathrooms

Seeking to renovate campus wide facilities and create a uniform atmosphere throughout the college, Essex Community College hired LAN to renovate thirty-eight restrooms in a variety of settings. The existing facilities did not meet the standards of the college, so LAN was tasked with creating high-end restrooms for students and staff. 

Each restroom is fitted with custom solid-surface sink basins with glass tile accent walls that reflect designs seen in boutique hotels. To further emphasize the new design aesthetic campus wide, the design team used a textured stainless-steel partition panel along with modern energy efficient fixtures. 

The existing bathrooms were completed decades before current standards, so updated accessibility was paramount. The new restrooms comply with ADA standards while maintaining the existing fixture count.
