New Museum Storage Facility at Goshen Historic Track

Project Overview

After a devastating fire destroyed the blacksmith’s shop and adjoining stables at the Goshen Historic Track, LAN was retained to help with plans to replace the historic building.

With boarding at the facility being low, and the adjacent Harness Racing Museum looking for additional storage space, LAN worked with both entities to design a new museum storage facility. Due to its status on the National Register of Historic Places, maintaining the historic character of the original structure was paramount.

LAN implemented our full-service approach which included schematic design, construction documentation, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire suppression design, as well as bid-phase assistance and construction administration. Due to the need to house museum artifacts, the facility is fully climate controlled with humidification and equipped with an automatic sprinkler and fire alarm system.
