Wayne DPW Facility Generator

Project Overview

LAN was retained to plan the installation of a new 200kW diesel standby generator at the DPW facility in the township of Wayne. The generator can accommodate 100% of the existing building loads and installation includes monitoring equipment with the means to remotely control the generator set, transfer switches sensors, and auxiliary controls. The remote monitoring system can be accessed from any internet-based PC and multiple users can monitor the power system equipment simultaneously. Monitoring functions include the remote annunciator, alternator, and engine data, as well as the transfer switch data, such as source, load, and switch connection status. The project was completed while the building was occupied with minimal interruptions to the normal operation of the facility.
