LAN Opens Southern NJ office

LAN Associates has expanded its operations with the opening of a new office in southern New Jersey. The full-service architecture and engineering firm’s latest location is 1018 Laurel Oak Road, Suite 11, Voorhees, NJ 08043. The new office is part of a shift in LAN’s business strategy which includes replacing the firm’s Philadelphia office with two additional locations, the second located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

LAN’s growing presence in the southern New Jersey area made it an easy decision to move into the heart of Camden County. Over the last few years, the firm has secured several Architect and/or Engineer of Record contracts from school districts in southern New Jersey as well as multiple municipal and private client projects in the area. Before the new office opened its doors, LAN was already working with Voorhees and neighboring towns such as Haddonfield, Winslow, and Monroe Township. The opening of a physical office was the natural evolution of LAN’s growth in the area, and an embracement of the team’s expanding staff, whose roots are local to the region.

“Our southern New Jersey team is taking this step to better serve the clients who have already put their trust in us,” said LAN Architect and Senior Associate Ron Schwenke, when asked about the new location. “This move also allows us to dedicate LAN’s unique and extensive qualifications to a host of new clients in southern New Jersey. We plan on working with local leaders, not only to improve schools, but to bring LAN’s valuable expertise to an increasing number of public and private projects.”

LAN first opened its doors in 1965, operating primarily as an engineering firm with a handful of employees. Fifty-five years later, the firm has become one of the leading full-service architecture and engineering design firms in the tri-state area.  In addition to the new location in Voorhees, and its headquarters in Midland Park, NJ, LAN has offices in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Goshen, New York.

“Despite the challenges that have altered the businesses climate worldwide in 2020, LAN has found success in broadening our market,” said LAN President, and recent NJBIZ Icon Award winner, Ken Karle, who has been with the firm for over 40 years. “The new office in Voorhees is a prime example of LAN leaning into a demand created by our talented employees and putting our full trust and support behind them.”
