LAN’s Senior Director of Environmental Services, Gerrit Visscher, has been honored with NJBIZ’s Leaders in Real Estate, Construction & Design Award. Gerrit is a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) and a Licensed Subsurface Evaluator who manages the Site Remediation Division at LAN Associates. In this capacity, he is responsible for complete project management of site remediation services and associated clients and staff.
The award was given to Gerrit, in part, in recognition of his work on a string of recent high profile and acclaimed projects. He served as the LSRP of record for The Vista at Christian Health located in Wyckoff, NJ. LAN served as the project architect for this 400,000-sf senior living community, which was awarded both the 2022 Argentum Senior Living by Design Award and The New Jersey Planning Officials’ 2022 Achievements in Planning Award.
In addition to his work on the Vista, Gerrit was the LSRP of record for the NJSDA New Joseph A Taub School on Union Ave, Paterson, Passaic County Engineering Pompton Lakes Garage Decommissioning, and the West Milford Board of Education Bus Depot.
Gerrit studied Biology and Environmental Science at the University of Mary Washington, Fredericksburg, VA where he earned his bachelor’s degree before obtaining a master’s degree in Environmental Management from Montclair State University in New Jersey.
Gerrit plays a leading role in a well-respected architecture and engineering firm with a 57-year history of success. His diverse and impressive portfolio was built working alongside key project stakeholders and regulatory and governmental organizations to ensure large projects have a smooth path to completion. His work includes client acquisition and retention, proposal and contract negotiations, cost estimation, and report preparation and submissions to environmental regulatory agencies. This award reaffirms Visscher’s position as an established industry player who performs a vital role in property development in the Garden State.
2022 marks the second annual NJBIZ Leaders in Real Estate, Construction & Design Awards. The event celebrates the achievements of architects, developers, engineers, contractors, and real estate professionals and will be held virtually on Wednesday November 30th at 8:30am.
