ENR (Engineering News Record) has announced their 2022 ranking of the largest engineering, architectural, and environmental design firms in New York and New Jersey, and LAN Associates was among those noted. LAN’s ranking reflects the full-service architecture and engineering firm’s recent evolution and growth.
“Growth has defined the past year at LAN Associates. Strategic project wins of considerable size have continued at a steady pace, driving a parallel path of increasing staff across almost every department,” said LAN CEO Ron Panicucci. “It’s not just the workload that has grown; we have also seen a marked increase in project diversity. LAN’s teams and departments are firing on all cylinders, working hard on projects across a range of market sectors. It’s great to see the dedication of LAN’s professionals translate to recognition from a publication like ENR”
LAN has evolved its mission in recent years and dedicated its focus to bringing its innovative design offerings to new market sectors, including hospitality and higher education. A series of strategic hires has allowed the almost 60-year-old architecture and engineering firm to reshape its departments to accommodate this expanded presence.
As LAN’s portfolio grows in new directions, the firm’s work in their core market of K-12 education has also seen a steady increase. Several recently passed referendums, growth in demand for outdoor learning environments, and the renewed focus on indoor air quality and HVAC systems have kept LAN’s experts busy with new and longtime educational clients.
In 2021, LAN also completed its largest project to date with The Vista at Christian Health. The facility is a 400,000-sf continuing care retirement community, with 164 independent living apartments, that sits on a secluded 78-acre enclave in Wyckoff, NJ.
With over 57 years of experience, LAN has cemented its position as an AEC industry market leader. In 2022, LAN plans to continue to expand in size and deliberately pursue a greater diversity of projects.
